Kailash (6638m) to

The major attraction of the Kailash Yatra, Mt. Kailash (6638m), sits north to the Lake Manasarovar and Rakshas Lake in Tibet. The journey commences by taking short flights to Nepalgunj, Hilsa, and Simikot, and after we have crossed the Tibetan border. This 11-day long journey aims to take you on a spiritual awakening by portraying the ancient Tibetan Buddhism in the settlements of Darchen, Dirapuk, and Zuthrul Phug. You will find people of Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and Hui communities along the journey, and you’ll be fascinated by their cultures and traditions which are portrayed in their daily lives. The whole Tibetan land adheres by the principles of Buddhism perfectly evident by the lifestyle of the people here. The lowest elevation of the Yatra is at Nepalgunj, which stands at just 150 meters. As the trail spreads through Nepal and Tibet, the elevation rises and we arrive at the highest altitude which is 5650 meters at the Dolma La Pass. The initial parts of the trail are easy, but in between, you have to walk long distances. The trails are seldom steep. It is cold near the Lake premises so be sure to wear warm clothing.
