Nothing entices joy and amusement in the hearts of trekkers and travel fanatics like the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. As such, this Annapurna Base Camp Trek is designed to accommodate elderly and children in the mesmerizing journey to the very lap of the Himalayas. Either a budding youth or a man in his prime, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is bound to give you a new sense of adventure in life.
The trip marks its signal as you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley entailing culturally ornamented sites like Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Boudhanath paves way for a drive to the phenomenal city of Pokhara. From Pokhara, a short drive further leads you to Nayapul, the trail-head of the trek. With the base camp trek including elderly and child participants, we begin the gradual walk towards Tikhedhunga followed by another ascent to reach Ghorepani via Banthanti. A hike to Poonhill viewpoint offers a stunning panorama of the mountains in Annapurna range. As the trail already marches through the Annapurna Conservation Area, the trek takes you along lush forests to Tadapani. Keeping the physical conditions of our elderly and child participants, we steadily ascend to Dovan. From, here a trek through bamboo forests leads us to Machhapuchhre Base Camp via Himalaya. This namesake of a base camp offers scintillating views of mountains including Machhapuchhre (6997m) which is not open to climbing given the religious values surrounding the mountain. Further, we carefully ascend to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). The base camp houses enchanting views of the entire Annapurna massif. Retracing the same path we used for the ascent, we head towards Himalaya. A short descent to Sinuwa extends to Jhinu Danda where the natural hot springs await us. This can be especially comforting to the child and elderly members on the trek. While on the descent, we carefully mind our every step as it can include challenging drops. A descent to Tolka follows a serene trail to Dhampus and concludes with a drive to Pokhara.
We, at Nepal Ascent Treks, have a passion to offer the beauty of Nepal to travelers of all kinds. In this variation of Annapurna Base Camp Trek, we have designed the trek in such a way that also allows people below average physical condition can undertake it as well. An abundance of resting stops assures that you won’t go out of breath. Our team will take care of all the necessities so that you won’t have to worry about a thing.
