It is often rare that you come across a trail heading to the heart of Annapurna Region and culminating at the plain lands of Terai. The Madi Himal Trek with Chitwan is one such trekking experience which oozes adventure and thrill. Situated at the base of Mardi Himal (5,553m) and the stunning Machhapuchhre (6,997m), the trail in Mardi Himal trek boasts unparalleled views of the Annapurna Himalayan ranges including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441m), Mt. Fishtail (6,993m) and Annapurna South (7,219m). The final stretch of the journey takes us the right to the heart of the wildlife sanctuary at Chitwan National Parks where once in a lifetime chance to witness the plenty of flora and fauna await us.
The journey begins from the stunning Kathmandu Valley heading towards the UNESCO world heritage sites. The journey begins to shape as a magnificent journey when heading towards the naturally enchanting city of Pokhara on a road trip. Getting our first glimpse of the majestic Himalayas, we begin our trek heading towards Forest Camp after driving till Kande. Through the enchanting forests, we continue towards Low Camp and then onto the High Camp which is also our final stop before reaching the viewpoint. The next day kicks off early as we head towards the viewpoint to witness the stunning views of the Himalayan sunrise accommodated by the majestic folds of the Annapurna Himalayan Range. Descending back to High Camp, we make our way down once again to Pokhara crossing Siding village en route. Through the enchanting landscapes surrounding the road, we make our way to Chitwan where a fun-filled the day with jungle safari awaits us. We can also relish the Tharu culture and explore the breeding center in Chitwan before ending the journey back at Kathmandu.

Itinerary
You will be received by a Nepal Ascent Treks member upon landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will then be transferred to your hotel and the remainder of the day can be spent as you desire. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
We kick off our journey from the valley itself touring its cultural and religious heritages beginning from the tranquil Swayambhunath. Continuing on, the journey heads down to the Hindu site of Pashupatinath where the prayers and bells of the thousands of pilgrims who visit the temple each day echo in the temple premise. We then take a historical turn towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square before ending the day at the Boudhanath stupa enjoying the magnificent views of the sunset. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
The day begins with an early morning breakfast and we make our way towards the enchanting city of lakes. Through the winding bends of Prithvi Highway, our journey crosses several hills before we are accompanied by the stunning Trishuli River which is well known amongst rafters. In Pokhara, we can enjoy a boat ride on the Phewa Lake and follow with a visit to the lakeside. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.
The journey begins with an early morning drive heading towards Kande. Accompanied by lush surroundings, the road winds through vibrant settlements and forests before resting at Kande. Leaving the beloved Annapurna Circuit trail behind, we head east where the lonely trail reaches deep into lush green forests adorned with stunning Himalayan views. The trail gradually comes to a stop at Forest Camp. Overnight stay at Forest Camp.
The next stretch of our journey leads to Low Camp which just breaches the 3,000-meter altitude bar. Through the ridgeline heading towards the Himalayas, our journey continues through forests filled with oak, pine, and juniper trees gradually ascending towards Low Camp. Accompanied by the stunning views of Machhapuchhre (6,997m), the trail heads to Low Camp. Overnight stay at Low Camp.
Today, we make our way towards Mardi Himal High Camp which is well known for the magnificent views of the Himalayas. Continuing our journey through the forested trail, we begin our ascent heading up towards Badal Danda where we are greeted by the views of Gangapurna (7,455m) and Mardi Himal (5,587m). Guided by the occasional views of Annapurna South (7,219m) through the clearing forests, we continue our ascent to reach High Camp. Overnight stay at High Camp.
The day kicks off early as we make our way towards Upper Viewpoint. The Himalayan trail is an easy one deviating away from the steeper sections of the pathway gradually ascending towards the viewpoint. The majestic Annapurna Himalayan Range colored golden by the rays of the early morning sun is not the one you get to witness every day and is sure to leave a long-lasting imprint in our minds. Enjoying the Himalayan sunrise we make our way down towards High Camp. Overnight stay at High Camp.
The final stretch of the Mardi Himal trek takes us towards Siding Village deviating from the way which leads towards the Low Camp. We continue our journey down before once again being enveloped by the lush green forests which forms so much of the landscape around the region. The hamlet of Siding is also a perfect chance to wind down from our travels and observe the unique culture of rural Nepal. Overnight stay at Siding.
Completing the Mardi Himal trek, we head back towards the stunning city of Pokhara. After refreshments, we begin our journey to the stunning destinations around the city including the Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, Davis Falls, Hindu temple of Gupteswor Mahadev, and the tranquil Lakeside. Boating on the Phewa Lake is a perfect way to wind down from our Himalayan travel and get ready for our wildlife adventure. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.
Today, we join on a road trip heading down from the city of Pokhara towards Chitwan. The journey once again takes on Prithvi Highway heading down alongside the tranquil banks of Seti River. After arriving at Chitwan, we head directly to the hotel for refreshments and then set off towards Tharu Village to enjoy the local culture. Overnight stay at a resort in Chitwan.
The day begins with a breakfast after which we gear up and head towards the Chitwan National Park which is not only the oldest national park of the nation but also the home of wide varieties of animals including the one-horned rhino, sloth bear, Langur monkeys, and over 500 species of colorful birds. Don't forget to look out for the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger and one-horned rhino. We end the day in the serene banks of Rapti River in the company of Gharial. Overnight stay at a resort in Chitwan.
The final day of our journey, we begin our way back to the Kathmandu Valley. Through the flatlands in the initial leg with the curvaceous hills on the final leg, the winding track back Kathmandu crosses several hills making the drive a pleasant one. Back at Kathmandu, we can enjoy the bustling streets and shop souvenirs. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
