The bus travel from Kathmandu to Jiri begins our journey. We start the trek on foot from Jiri. We pass through village areas observing culture and lifestyle of Sherpa people enjoying the traditional authentic food in their warm and hospitable tea houses along the way. We can see people using Yaks to carry goods around. We can also find rich Buddhist culture through several monasteries and stupas throughout the Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. In addition, we see prayer wheels and prayer flags decorating the areas. Also, huge rocks carved and painted with Buddhist mantras can be spotted at several places around the trail.
The natural beauty of pine, rhododendron and juniper forest along the way add charm to our Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. Many uphill and downhill trails are there along the way. We pass through numerous rivers and suspension bridges as well. Despite the rugged terrain, the tea houses and lodges around the region are well kept, homely and welcoming where we get to have a comfortable rest.

We receive you from the Tribhuvan International Airport with a warm welcome and take you to the hotel in Kathmandu. After getting fresh and taking some rest, we host a welcome dinner for you at the finest restaurant in the city with Nepali cuisine. We brief the team of trekkers about the trip and take you back to the hotel for the nights’ sleep.

We take a trip around world heritage sites in Kathmandu which are the major attraction points. Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square are the areas we will be roaming around for the day. In the evening we pack our bags with proper clothing and trekking equipment. We stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

We take a long drive of about 8-9 hours by bus. We will be enjoying beautiful views along the journey. The bus will stop for tea break and lunch. After reaching Jiri you can take rest and stroll around the area and enjoy the evening time.

The first day of the trek begins with uphill climbing towards Chitre. From there we take a path downhill and through suspension bridge. We reach Shivalaya shortly. We will roam around the village and stay there for a night.

We walk the trail uphill to Deurali which is at a good height from where beautiful scenic beauty can be observed from atop. Then, we descend towards Bhandar which is surrounded by hills. Buddhist monastery and smalls stupas can be spotted around. The village also has tea farm and buckwheat terraces can also be seen in the village areas. The region is surrounded by hills on all sides, magnifying its beauty. Also, crossing rivers through many suspension bridges along the way gives an enjoyable sensation.

We follow the trail across the valley and through the village. Moving ahead, we ascend and descend the hills and pass through the forest to Likhu Khola. Crossing the bridge over the river, we walk towards our destination for the day- Sete. We, then reach Chimbu. After walking a steep hill we finally reach Sete and spend our night there at the lodge.

The trek starts with a climb uphill through rhododendron, pine, and juniper forest. After that, we reach Lamjura Pass and take our lunch there enjoying the stunning views of natural beauty around. Then we take a downhill trail and walk toward Junbesi, a Sherpa village. We spend the night at Junbesi.

We start the trek with a walk through hills towards Ringmo. On the way, we get the change to have a first glance of Mount Everest. We then move ahead from Ringmo to Nunthala. We see Buddhist prayer flags along the way. The houses are beautifully built with white coloured sloped roofs. We can also see monks playing around. Walking ahead, we reach Thaksinda pass at the top of the hill. There are several tea houses around where we can enjoy the lunch with beautiful hills around. We spend the night at a lodge in Nunthala.

We start the trek walking downhill towards the Dudh Koshi river. We cross the suspension bridge over the river and head ahead and pass through village area. Then we take uphill steep climbing until we reach Sherpa village. We then take the rest at a lodge in Kharikhola and spend the night there.

From Kharikhola we take the trail down towards the suspension bridge over the river. From there we head towards Bupsa along the steep uphill trail. We pass through settlement area on the way to Paiya where we can see beautifully built stone houses. People are also seen carving stones for building houses. We take lunch at Paiya and rest for some time. We can see Lukla from Paiya and also beautiful mountain ranges like Mount Khumbilla, Mount Khwangbe and much more. We stay for the night at Paiya.

We start the trek from Paiya to Surke. At Surke the trail separates. One goes to Pakhding and Namche and other to Lukla. We take a trail to Namche. Numerous huge rocks with Buddhist prayers carved on them can be seen all along the way. We then head towards Chaurikharka village and then to Chhaplu, Ghat and finally reach Phakding. At Phakding we can see many lodges and restaurants around. We give our tiring muscles a good rest and spend the night at Phakding.

Moving ahead from Phakding we take the trail ahead and cross rivers and village area and head towards Monju from where Sagarmatha National Park area begins. We will take care of all the required formalities at the entrance. We then enjoy warm drinks at the teahouse nearby. We then follow the trail downhill towards the suspension bridge and again take the walk uphill until finally reaching Namche Bazar. At Namche, there are beautifully managed lodges and well-kept home stays. We also get a chance to have a glimpse of Mount Everest and other mountains. We spend the night at a lodge in Namche Bazar.

We take rest for a day to adjust our body to the environment and gradually increasing altitude. We may stroll around the village and visit ancient monasteries and stupas. Also, there are many local shops in the area. We might roam around the shops and restaurants, enjoy the good food and chat with friends and family through the internet. Also, there is a statue of Tenzing Norgay, the first person to reach the summit of Mount Everest along with Edmund Hillary. From Namche majestic view of Mount Everest, Mount Thamserku, Mount Ama Dablam, and Mount Lhotse can be enjoyed.

We take the trail along the Dudh Koshi river. On the way, we can see various small stupas decorated with prayer flags and prayer wheels. If lucky we may get a chance to spot the national bird Lophophorus. Walking ahead we reach Sanasa from where the trail separates. One trail goes towards Gokyo RI and other to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar. We take the trail towards Everest Base Camp. From Sanasa village a river can be seen down below. We take the walk uphill and head towards Tengboche. We then reach Tengboche monastery- the artistic and famous monastery in the region with the beautiful view of Mount Ama Dablam in the background. From Tengboche, we can also enjoy the beauty of mountains like Kangtega, Thamserku, Amadblam, Lhotse, Mt. Everest and many other mountains that have no names. We get a good night’s sleep at a lodge in Tengboche.

We leave Tengboche and start the walk downhill through the forest and then crossing the river along the way. Then we walk uphill towards Pagboche, a dense settlement area which lies in the lap of Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse. We can see people walking with Yaks carrying the goods. We then reach Somare from where the trail separates towards Pheriche and Dingboche. We take the trail to Pheriche and spend the night there at Pheriche.

Today we take rest and explore the areas around Pheriche and observe culture and lifestyle of people. We move around in order to adjust our body to the thinning air density. We may also hike a little to have a pleasant view of mountain ranges around. We spend the day strolling around and spend the night at a lodge in Pheriche.

We leave Pheriche and head ahead where the trail that leads us towards Wide Valley. From there the steep uphill walk takes us to Thukla pass. Moving ahead we pass through Khumbu Khola valley and Thukla. From Thukla pass we get to view Mount Nuptse and Mount Pumori. We move through the trail enjoying the beautiful view of the valley. We reach Lobuche after the uphill climb and finally end the day.

The trail to Everest Base Camp passes through Gorak Shep Lake. The walk ahead takes us to Indian army mountaineers’ memorial. Walking through rocky terrain in such high altitude can wear out the tired body. But upon reaching the Everest Base Camp, the spellbinding view of mountain peaks and colourful tents contrasted against the snowy beauty makes you forget the arduous journey. The area is seen decorated with Buddhist prayer flags. We take pictures and after that, we return back and spend the night at Gorak Shep.

We start our hike early in the morning. After walking couple of hours, we reach the top of Kala Patthar (meaning black rock in local language), which is the sunrise viewing point. From the top, we get to see 360? views of mountains around with the closest view of Mount Everest. Down below we can see the deep and dangerous Khumbu glacier. Also, we can see the gigantic view of Mount Pumori from the top of Kala Patthar. Mount Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and many other mountains can be viewed up close from the top. We return back to Gorak Shep and we'll take breakfast then return back to Pheriche and spend the night there.

The trek back passes through brightly coloured rhododendron trees and juniper trees. Walking ahead we cross Dudh Koshi river and pine forests, enjoying mountainous views along the way. We then reach Namche Bazar and stay there overnight.

We take the rocky trail downward toward Dudh Koshi river. Upon crossing the river we head towards Lukla crossing Monjo (Sagarmatha National Park entry and exit). Walking downhill and crossing the suspension bridge over Bhote Koshi river, we walk ahead to Phakding. From Phakding we catch the trail uphill until finally reaching Lukla. Upon reaching Lukla we give a rest to our aching body and spend the night in a lodge.
